Grunts, laughs and cheers filled the Penn State lacrosse field today for the annual Penn State Football Lift for Life. The event which raises money for kidney cancer showcases what the players have accomplished in weight training in the off season. More muscles and techniques were visible as offense competed against the defense.
The first event was the obstacle course, where players darted out from under a hurdle before jumping and weaving around mats and cones.
Speed was the key factor in all the events, but strength was the focus for the next events, with the weighted sled push, the keg carry and the sand bag run.
To round out the events the players took to a “friendly” game of offense vs defense tug o war.
After several remarks about donating to the cause the players invited fans of all ages to the field for autographs and photos.
