Tonight the Penn State men’s ice hockey team played their first game as a division 1 varsity sport. The team played to a sold out crowd in the Greenberg Ice Pavilion where they will play this season till the new Pegula Ice Arena is completed.
Greenberg isn’t the greatest place to photograph, the lighting is terrible so you must preset your white balance correctly, and there are limited spots for photographers. They recently cut four photo circles in the glass for media, but with several of us there to cover the inaugural game, there weren’t enough spots. I roamed through the entire arena trying all sorts of angles and cover the excitement of this new era for Penn State ice hockey.
