Despite the cold weather and snow flurries today’s Penn State overtime win over Wisconsin was an exciting ending to a season that will go down in history.
The game started off with the senior day ceremonies, and for the first time the families of the players were on the field to greet the men who accomplished so much.
As it came time for kick off the crowd in Beaver Stadium thanked the seniors.
The game was full of ups and down, leading to a 21-21 tie at the end of the fourth.
Penn State wasn’t able to get a touchdown on their possession in overtime, but Sam Ficken kicked a field goal to put the lions up 24-21.
Penn State battled through Wisconsin’s possession in overtime, stopping them from a touchdown.
Everything weighed on Wisconsin’s kicker, who missed the field goal to lead Penn State to a 24-21 win. Penn State ended the season 8-4 under new coach Bill O’Brien and celebrated as they left the field.
