As I got ready for work this afternoon I knew there were severe storms heading for our area. The storms were making their way from the west, and had dumped inches of rain as it was approaching us. I threw my rain boots, rain jacket, an umbrella and a towel in my car. I’m very glad I did.
The rain started around 4 and I headed into a down pour that limited all visibility as flash flooding began.
A section of alleys with apartment parking lots left several cars stalled in the water. This one college student got his car away from the water, but then used a solo cup to scoop the several inches of water out of his interior.
Once the rain stopped water reseeded in most places, though some roads are still closed as quick moving water bubbles over them.
